Rainbow lamp - 2003

The lamp is designed to resemble a large bundle of glass raindrops. The sunlight is broken up by the raindrops into all the colours of the spectrum. This creates a rainbow.

The light colour of the lamp changes continuously, determined by a computer program. In addition to the changing colours, the ambience can also be influenced by dimming the neon light.

The lamp is constructed from approximately 3,000 glass balls with a diameter of 5 cm. The heart of the lamp consists of three neon tubes in red, green and blue (RGB colours). These neon tubes can be dimmed independently of each other to produce various colour mixes (approx. 4,000,000 different colours).
