Count-it trade fair stand - 2002

A trade fair stand designed for Inbase’s Count-it cash desk systems. The length and set-up are variable. The count-it cash desk system has been specially developed for the iMac. The entire stand is made of matt plexiglass (as the iMac is also made of white plastic), and can change colour like a chameleon through the use of coloured light. To enter the cage-like stand, one must walk through a curtain of tubes. These tubes are suspended close to the floor. Strong magnets are affixed to the bottom of each tube and just under the flooring. These magnets attract each other. Whenever anyone enters the stand and pushes a tube to one side, the tube quickly swings back to its original position. The rest of the stand is all in white: the desks with their i-macs, the sofa with its white PU coating in front of the large mirror wall. To the left of the reception area is a separate room and an area with a kitchen unit.
